One of the most incredible of the sense organs. A small organ but mighty in its right when exercised.

A word from it can either build or demolish cities. The Bible says that the power of life and death lies in the tongue.

         People disregard the tongue and only remembers it after the havoc has been caused. 

 

We must come to the understanding that each word is a gift given as medicine to the soul. A little abuse of it and irreparable havoc is wreaked. Watch what you say!! Each word that proceeds from your mouth can't be termed a "slip of the tongue".... It's from the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.

       It came out of your mouth because you thought of it at one point or the other.The mind is an active and vast part of us. It's like a garden, whether or not you plant something, something will grow. If you were supposed to plant roses and after weeding,you leave the land empty,after some time , unwanted plants begin to sprout.

That is how the mind works. If you refuse to plant the word of God,other unwanted materials begin to take root in your mind. And because your mind hasn't been filtered by the word of God, those unedifying things begin to take root and them they proceed out of your mouth to cause disaster. In order to avoid this happenings, guard your heart, mind and tongue with the word of God. Let his word take root and grow in you.

              It would be sinful of you to bless God on the Sabbath day with your tongue and then curse men with the same tongue. Remember that fresh water and bitter water cannot come out of the same source. It would be an unfairness to both God and man.
