Karim Benzema is officially out of Real Madrid and has now joined his new club side, Al Ittihad. He is now joined to his former colleague Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Arabian league. Benzema is reported to be earning almost £200m per season net salary, commercial deals  included. 

Meanwhile Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that he is the one who has opened the door for footballers to come over to the Saudi league. According to DailyMail Online, Cristiano Ronaldo claims his £175m-a-year Saudi move opened 'a box' for Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante to follow... as he insists 'I am 1,000 per cent sure' many more will follow.

At the revealing ceremony, about 60,000 fans showed up to witness Benzema's unveiling ceremony in Jeddash, Saudi Arabia, and the stadium was super dramatic. 

Meanwhile N'Golo Kante sealed a deal with the same Al Ittihad with Kante to stay in the club for a two-years contract until June 2025. He can extend the contract for another one year at choice. Kante is expected to be earning  £100m per season, making him the third highest-paid player in the world after Cristiano Ronaldo and Kareem Benzema.
