Pastor Ezekiel Atang, who has been a major voice in many of FECA Nigeria National and regional conventions has been reported dead on Saturday night, February 19, 2022. This was made known to the public by the brother of the deceased, Mr. Jonathan Atang, who posted the news and deleted it almost immediately. But the social media users had already taken it in and out.

According to Joseph Ekpenyong, one of the people that received the shocking information, he lamented that Pastor Ezekiel Atang will be severely missed. In a post by Mr. Joseph, which drew much surprised from people, he stated that,

"I didn't know why I felt strongly to use your Clips as Tonic this week, it turned out to be my means of honouring you and the grace on you before your transition. Seeing you also at DOMINION Convention @Calabar was the First time of seeing you and it turned out to be the very last I will see you on a close range sir. On Sunday, with all the awesome and hectic that day, with Joy in my heart. when I reached home late that night, I had a strange feeling of sadness ( not knowing which direction it was channeled, before I had similar feeling when some like this happened to me). Although being stressed out and on bed, I was whispering prayers for Journey mercies concerning the journey in view (those that can relate Will). Waking up early Monday morning to see a call, I was scared but it turned out to be something better. All this, not knowing that later in the evening, you will transit to the Celestial terrain... Although, I still find it hard to believe it, but I believe you are resting in the bosom of ABBA.

    GOODNIGHT PASTOR EZEKIEL ATANG.

    I will miss you

FECA Calabar 1 - 6 will miss you

FECA Cross River South Zone will miss you

    FECA NIGERIA will miss you

Singles Frank talk will miss you

God's House of Refugee will miss you

LIVE on Sir... Your Memory lives on."

According to Alamu Tosin, a fellow Pastor, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, confirmed the death of his colleague on social media and stated this: "My brother and my friend, my partner in family life mandate to the body of Christ. You left an indelible mark, and unforgettable legacy, you spoke with clarity and conviction, loved by all, we will definitely miss you." Pastor Ezekiel Atang died few days to his 50th birthday.

Pastor Ezekiel Atang was in last year's Eastern Regional Convention of FECA Nigeria and he ministered. His words, his convictions, his preachings were very precise, divine and clear because he spoke about the vices that destroy Dominion and one of them was Satanic oppressions in form of sexual mistakes made by the youths. He gave an instance with the story of Joseph and his master's wife. He also made reference to the story of Esau and Jacob and how Esau lost his birthright because of beans. And may youths have lost it because they ate the beans of sex. That night saw a massive restoration of youths in FECA and destinies were renewed.  Many people gave their lives to Christ on that very night that he preached.

This news is going to be very hard for many FECAites to take in, because Pastor Ezekiel Atang is a major voice in FECA. We shall miss him immensely.

FECA Nigeria reacts to Pastor Ezekiel Atang's demise

The news of Pastor Ezekiel's demise, reaching FECA, has made the association to write a eulogy. According to Webster, eulogy is "a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly, especially a tribute to someone who has just died." The one that has been written and published to the world by FECA Nigeria is displayed below:

"The blow was hard and the shock was severe.

We never dreamed your death was so near,

But only those who can tell the pain of the parting

Without farewell will understand the pain we

Feel right now, but God gave us the strength

To face this blow. To hear your voice in almost

Every National Conventions, and to see your

Smile in the Regional Conventions. If we have

Power, it would not happen at this time, however

    We cannot question God.

Reflecting on the memories you lived,

The time you shared with us and the impact,

It has shaped ad molded our characters. The

Most painful of all is that, you left when we

    Needed you the most.

Pastor Ezekiel Atang, your sudden departure

Without a word has created a deep vacuum

Which can only be filled by the Lord himself.

We are however consoled by the word which

Says Blessed are the dead who died in the Lord...

Adieu our beloved Pastor, rest on

Till we meet again to part no more.

    FECA Nigeria."
