You ever wondered why people are addressed and named by their circumstances? Whether it's a good or bad situation around them, have you given a thought to why that woman was called "woman with the issue of blood", Rahab,"the harlot",Mary,"mother of Jesus", Thomas, "the doubter" and whole lot more.
This is because circumstances are clingy and more clingy are negative feedbacks, the nature of every man is to hear nine rights and one wrong then cling to the one wrong, he's entire mindset is wired to see wrongs not rights and this is something the enemy uses today to wage war against us,our nature.
But we have victory, victory in the finished work of Christ cos in His is power to prevail against this mindset,In it is power to open our blinded eyes to see that we are not our situations and that we make our situations nor them making us, two illustrations from the scriptures makes this clear to us the story of creation and the woman with the issue of blood.
God saw the broken and hopeless state of the earth. It was empty, dark and void but that didn't get God to become discouraged nor to give negative feedbacks rather He saw beyond us and He saw life in nothing and by His Spirit and Word He created the beautiful earth we live in today.
The woman with the issue of blood, probably was sick of being called that for twelve long years that named had totally wiped out all her true essence then she changed that by her actions,by her Faith.
That's all it takes to rid of that clingy affliction,a change in your mindset,a change in your action. A peep beyond your horizon,a look beyond the negative to the positive, so today let go of that clingy affliction and set it straight!
Situations don't define us,we define situations.
