The dating game is one of the most abused of all life system because of the misinterpretations and misgivings of youth. Many people there days see dating as nothing but sexual relationship, or at least something that must benefit both parties, where the lady gets money and other necessary needs from a guy she thinks she is in love with and in return she offers him sex. No.

Let's walk through the benefits of keeping away from sexual related affairs during dating. Shall we?

1. It helps you to make wise and clear decisions in choosing a life partner. Sex beclouds your sense of judgement because it is pleasurable.


2.  It keeps away jokers. Only a serious person will want to date you without sex. This is how to know who is a player or not.


3.  It helps you two know each other deeper. When sex is introduced as two people are getting to know each other, the lovers dwell so much on sex that they miss out on other important things about each other. Sex distracts young lovers from building the right foundation for a future marriage.


4. It makes you two love each other for your heart and character, not sexual excitement.


5.  It prevents unwanted pregnancy. When you love someone and you trust them, often you might not use protection during sex. Many men and women have become unplanned parents because they were engaging in sex with someone they love in a relationship. Often, the pregnancy changes things between them, some break up, other men abandon the woman and child. Others do get married but with a feeling they were trapped by the pregnancy.


6.  It brings Godly peace in the relationship. Many Christian lovers feel guilty because of their sexual activity. A lack of Godly peace and continuous guilt makes the relationship suffer.


7.  It makes you both disciplined. You will need discipline in marriage, if you will get married. Premarital sex is the mother of extra marital sex. If you're strafing & jerking off now, real commitment will be difficult for you.


8.  In the event that you do break up, the break up will not be messy and full of regret. Many have sexed a person they thought would be their husband/wife only for the relationship to end. It becomes very difficult to move on once sex has been involved.


9.  If you do get married, you will both look forward to the honeymoon. Don't rush, great sex is on the way.


10. It's easier to leave a relationship when sex is not involved. It is easier to see things clearly when sex is not involved. Many young folks use sex to repress issues in their relationships. Orgasm can make everything wrong feels right. A lady finds it difficult to leave a man who deflowered her or whom she enjoyed sex with even if she's being maltreated. Sex can turn you into a slave to someone and to your emotions. That you're having sex doesn't mean you're in love.

Fornication is rehearsal for adultery. If they can't honor God with your body, they won't honor him for you. Yes you're doing it because after all they will marry you but that means you have also agreed with them that they are helpless about sinfulness. It's not about avoiding STDs or avoiding pregnancies, those are easy to achieve now. It is about honoring God's standard.

Lastly, let us never forget what the scripture says in 1Corinthians 6 vs 18-19 "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man/woman doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the holy ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
